Construyendo un Municipio Vinculado al Desarrollo de Base

Over a three-year period Fundación Familia y Mujer Andina would coordinate a series of activities with the Municipality of Huaquillas and the Frente Democratica de Mujeres de Huaquillas to establish a series of local development services directed at the economically marginalized families of the municipality.   Each of these services would be institutionalized with one of the local partners so that it may continue on a sustainable basis after the completion of this project.

An overarching process taking place throughout the project would be the establishment of a Department of Community Development within the Municipality’s governmental structure.  By the completion of the project this department would have a profession staff and be following an strategic plan formulated through the participative approach implemented during the project.
